What Election Commission of India (ECI) said?

Ahead of the Bihar elections 2025, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has asked the citizens to participate in the election actively. Taking to X, ECI tweeted, ''Join the festival of democracy with pride. The Election Commission of India invites every voter to actively participate in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. Let’s cast our vote with responsibility and confidence.''

For the ease of voters, here we have compiled a list of documents needed during the voting that need to be carried at Bihar Election 2025, Phase 2.

List of Documents Required During Bihar Election 2025, Phase 2:

  • PAN Card
  • Indian Passport
  • MNREGA Job Card
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Driving Licence
  • Service Identity Card (for government/public sector employees)
  • Pension Document with photo
  • Bank or Post Office Passbook with a photo
  • Official Identity Card for MP/MLA/MLC
  • Smart Card issued under the National Population Register (NPR)
  • Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card
  • Health Insurance Smart Card (Ministry of Labour/Ayushman Bharat)

It is to be noted here that all the registered electors need to carry any documents from the above mentioned list at the polling booths for the Bihar Assembly Election 2025.

Important tips for smooth conduct of Phase 2 voting

  • It is advised to carry the original document at the polling booth.
  • Voters need to make sure that voters name should match both on the the ID and the electoral roll
  • Registered candidates need to reach the at the polling booth early.

After the completion of second phase of voting on November 11, election results will be declared on November 14.
